Day 2: Things To Do In Monterey County

In case you missed Day 1 post, I took a solo trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea and had a fabulous time. I had never been to Carmel or even Monterey County before. I wasn’t entirely certain what all to do, other than tasting wine and going to Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey. I posted on my Twitter and Instagram accounts asking for some recommendations. And, my followers suggested some great things to do in the area. I also spoke with Carrie, the … Continue reading here.

Day 1: Pacific Coast Highway to Carmel-by-the-Sea

I went to Carmel-by-the-Sea, California this month for a short trip to get out of freezing Minnesota. After booking with Hofsas Hotel (read more about them on my post), I researched which airport to fly in to. My research found that flying into San Francisco was the least expensive way. So, I decided I would do that and then rent a car to do a mini road trip down Highway 1 South (Pacific Coast Highway) to Carmel-by-the-Sea. This was … Continue reading here.

Where To Stay In Carmel-by-the-Sea: Hofsas House

I had the opportunity to go to Carmel-by-the-Sea this month. I was very excited for this trip as it has been absolutely freezing in MN the last few weeks and I was ready to get out. As part of this trip, I was offered a hosted stay at the Hofsas House. It is a charming, Bavarian styled hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

My Room at Hofsas House

I loved my room at Hofsas House! It was nicely furnished with an antique vanity … Continue reading here.

What I Learned From a Rental Car

Who would have thought that someone can learn so much from a rental car? I definitely did not think so, until my trip to Carmel By The Sea. You see, I have driven the same car for the last 6 years. Although I purchased it brand new, it didn’t have any special add-ons. It was just regular, manual (keywords here) vehicle. Well, when it came time for my rental car, I learned some things from it.

I needed to get

Top Things To Do In Paris

My first time in Paris, France was while I was in high school. I took French while in high school and we were able to take a three-week trip there one summer. That was so long ago so it’s difficult to write about now. However, I can write about the last time I was in Paris, France! My college roommate, her husband, her sister, and I all decided to travel to Paris for a few days and then go to … Continue reading here.

2018 Travel Bucket List

Happy New Year! Yes, I’m about a week short but still, I hope it’s been a great year for each of you so far!

I’ve never really done a travel bucket list before but I’ve decided to become more serious about my travelling. In the past, I would only plan out one trip and then my others would be spur of the moment. I still plan on doing some random trips but I would like to have a better idea … Continue reading here.

Favorite Moments of the Year 2017

Today is December 31st, 2017 – New Year’s Eve. It’s time to think back on the entire year and find my favorite moments. I was able to do so much this year between family, work, and travel. It was hard to narrow it down but here are my favorite 10 moments.

  1. Spoke in front of 600+ people at my work’s annual conference. ! I was super nervous but I didn’t show it at all while speaking. It was only for

Things To Know About Seattle: Part 1

I have family that lives in Seattle and other parts of Washington state so have been out there several times. My last trip was in 2014 which was 10 years after the last time I had been there. It’s crazy how time flies! I went to visit my family but also have a vacation. My best friend even joined me for my second weekend there. She had never been there before so we had a lot of fun exploring Seattle … Continue reading here.

5 Restaurants in the Bay Area

Everyone wants to hear about some great restaurants to check out while traveling. It’s hard to find ones in large areas, such as the Bay Area. I know I struggled with finding some so I decided to write a short post about the restaurants in the Bay Area that I went to.

Educated Palate

The first one I’d recommend is the Educated Palate. It has wall to ceiling windows which offers bright and elegant dining for up to 50 … Continue reading here.
