How I Started a Blog

I’ve thought of starting a blog for a while. One that I could easily handle while also working full-time. About five years ago, I had been in the process of starting a blog but had stopped. I had been overwhelmed with work and wasn’t scared how people would take me doing a blog. So, I stopped. Then I saw an ad on Facebook for tips on starting a blog.

Starting My Blog

If you’re actually interested in starting a blog, thinking about what type of blog and the name of the blog that you want. From there, you will want to think about social media, website design, making money with the blog, and many other items. The best thing I did was start with It’s a Lovely Life’s Start a Money Making Blog Today 5-day course.

That course walked me through the first five days of starting a blog. It was very beneficial and got me the start that I needed. After those first 5 days, I then started to work on generating content for my blog. I wanted to have at least 10 blog posts before launching my blog.

Launching My Blog

I worked pretty much non-stop for a total of two weeks before I was able to launch my blog. I was up until midnight (very late for me) for several days. The day that I launched, I was actually up until 1 AM picking a theme and then launching my blog right before going to bed. Now that I think about it, that was definitely not the best way to do it. There are many things I want to now change with my blog theme and set up. But, with the blog launched now, it makes it more difficult to make those types of changes. Eventually, though, I will get around to changing it up a bit.

After Launch

After launching my blog, I joined It’s a Lovely Life’s 10K Challenge and It’s a Lovely Life’s 30 Day Crash Course. Both of these courses were even better than the 5 day course. The 5 day course was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their tips on starting a blog. These two courses helped me so much with not only the content side of blogging but especially the business side of blogging. If you’re thinking of starting a blog or already have a blog but need some help with getting more traffic or the business, I strongly recommend you check out It’s a Lovely Life and their blogging courses. You will not regret it.
